I love how this little spring time blouse turned out! This is New Look 6808, view F (link to sewing pattern). It features a rounded collar with a sailor tie/ knot at center front. I used a, orange and white striped fabric from Joann’s, and the collar is actually made from cutting up a blouse from Goodwill which had a nice textured cotton fabric. The collar is interfaced. The pattern called for a side zipper, but I did not actually need one to get this on and off.
The pattern contains quite a few view options and you must be careful when reading the sewing directions because they skip around alot! I actually had to do a bunch of seam ripping because I got mixed up at one point following facing directions for a different view. But while I was frustrated at that time, I am glad I suffered trough and completed the project.
I like this sewing pattern and I likely will make it again soon in a different view.
