This post is not an affiliate link, and if it were I would have no problem telling you, but as it stands, I love this minimalist purse so much I want to write a plug about it simply because I truly find it adds great value. I have been asked about it fairly often. How I came to find this purse was through my husband who found this purse online. We had been watching the series Homeland, and Carrie Matheson, the character played by Claire Danes, often wore a crossbody bag. It is genuine, high quality leather, and comes in multiple colors. The construction is of high quality, as are the zippers. I tend to think a very practical purse like this looks most respectable in black or a shade of brown. While it is certainly not a highly stylized fashion purse, it has a streamline simple look that goes with most outfits.
As a lady who has tried to reduce clutter and adopt a more minimalist lifestyle, this purse is perfect. First of all, for such a small purse, it has 5 zippered pockets, and an easy to slip into, cell phone pocket. Inside the main (and largest) portion of the purse, I like to store my checkbook, keys, and sunglasses. Inside the top pocket I keep 2 or 3 lipsticks. The middle pocket is a great place to keep loose coins and cash. Finally, the 3rd lower pocket actually has a wallet built in with slots for cards, thus elimination the need for a separate wallet. This is the most organized purse I have ever had.
Believe it or not, this is my third purchase of this purse. I had in in a caramel tan color, and I am on my second black purse. There only 2 things I can say bad about this purse. First, the interior lining, while it holds up well over time, it is not luscious. In fact, it is rather stiff. Second, I have learned the hard way that you really need to refrain from repeatedly hanging it on a hook because the strap will wear out long before the purse itself does. I suppose that goes for any purse. Now I just put it on a shelf so as to preserve it longer.
I am not saying this is the cutest purse on the market, or that it is fabulous in it’s status. Frankly, it’s under $20 and it is from Groupon. But I will say, that if you are looking for a well-constructed purse, made of high quality leather, I suggest you try out this lovely minimalist crossbody option. I will continue to keep one of these around for many years to come.
