With my friend having a baby soon, I scored etsy and ebay to discover a perfect maternity sewing pattern, which would be very on-trend for Spring 2026. Simplicity 8606 was a fabulous find! Although it is from the year 1978, it is still very modern and cute for today’s fashion! The decision to make these maternity looks was decided on prior to attending The Stitch Festival in London, so it was quite enjoyable to hunt for the fabrics to use.

I had a great deal of enjoyment working on these maternity pieces!
Piece one, a turquoise on white, Toile De Jouy patterned fabric. This tunic features a square neckline, gathered yolk, and pockets with lace and bow details.
Piece 2 Is a delightful eyelet printed with flowers. The gathered puff shoulders and balloon sleeves are a nice feminine touch.
Piece 3, a pink dress in a watercolor print, with puff sleeves and ruffled yolk.
