During my trip to London, I made a point to visit the London Fashion & Textile Museum. The featured curation for the museum at this time was called “Weavers of the Clouds” and it featured the textile arts of Peru.
These intricately hand woven textiles feature such beautiful bright colors and creative motifs. How about that 2 headed eagle? Or that fabulous huge gold sunshine cape? There was also a section of the exhibit that featured modern designers who interpreted the ancient Peruvian influence into new designs. All in all, this was a real delight to see and I look forward to returning to this gem of a museum next time I am in London. For more information, click here to see their website, and what is new.
