2.) Improving my Hair with Olaplex Shampoo & Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner has been key to getting my hair healthy again. While it is expensive, it lasts me more than half a year and I find it to be worth it. According to Olaplex “Our patented OLAPLEX Bond Building technology works on a molecular level to repair damaged and broken bonds”.
3.) Stocking up on Keystone Canned Meats
I have never been one to buy canned meats thinking they might be gross, but I saw this in the store several months ago and read the raving positive reviews people had left. It turns out that this canned meat is produced in Lima, Ohio, close to where I grew up. The cans include only 2 ingredients, meat and salt, and there is a video showing how it’s made which built my confidence. Once I tried it myself, I was sold. As a flight attendant, this fully cooked meat makes it much easier to meal prep for my trips. The other good thing about this product is that it is shelf stable for 5 years. More info…
4.) Our DIY Trumpet Side Table
This was such a fun DIY project we came up with because Joe needed a side table for his chair in the living room. We found a very tall, awesome $8 candlestick that looked like a trumpet at an antique mall. Then we ordered a marble cheese board. We spray painted the trumpet a lovely gold color, then Joe affixed a weight to the bottom of the stand to give it stability, and affixed the marble top. It turned out perfectly eccentric and useful!
5.) Using the Telegram App for Non-Mainstream Media News
Telegram has been a favorite app lately! I stopped trusting the mainstream media years ago.”George News”, “Disclose.tv, and “America’s Frontline Doctors” are some of my favorite channels to follow.
6.) The Results from this Biotin Supplement
Natrol Biotin 10,000mcg has been an absolute game changer for me, and apparently many other Amazon reviewers. I had destroyed my thin natural nails months ago trying out press on nails. So then I made it my goal to improve my natural nails and get them looking good again. Well this supplement not only grew my nails strong like hard, thick, plastic, but my hair has grown long too. I am very happy with these, and will continue to buy them.
7.) Using this Anti-Aging Facial Exercise Tool
Facial Flex is an exercise apparatus for your face. You put it in your mouth corners and do resistance training twice a day for 2 minutes. It can’t hurt! I need to be more committed to this, but I do think it targets what I want it to. Here is a gal on youtube with one.

10.) This Healthy Gum Routine
As a person who has suffered from having to wear the covid masks at work, 8-14 hours at a time, I am desperately trying to protect my gums and teeth from what is such an unnatural and unhealthy environment. I have been doing oil pulling first thing in the morning, followed up with brushing my teeth and using PerioBrite mouthwash which I found at Whole Foods. I have really enjoyed the way this routine leaves my mouth feeling after I have completed it.
11.) Doing Manicures with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Polish
12.) Our Tall Thin Christmas Tree and the Vintage Skirt
This tree was quite difficult to find in Fort Myers, but at the third Walmart we went to, I spotted it very high up on a shelf. They had to use a lift to go up and get it down for us, but I was so thankful to spot it! It is the T-28 model, also known as “Pre-Lit Shelton Pencil Fir Artificial Christmas Tree, Clear Incandescent Lights, 7”. At $59 it was a great deal. An even better deal is this lovely vintage Christmas Tree skirt I found at Goodwill several years ago. It is probably one of my favorite thrift finds ever.

14.) Emergency Lifestraws
Given the strange, unprecedented, and surreal times we are living in, I believe it is wise to always be prepared for anything. That is why I keep an emergency Lifestraw in various locations, including my luggage as I travel. You cannot live for long without water, and I never want to find myself in a situation where I do not have access to safe drinking water. Find out more about these nice portable straws here.
15.) Taking 1 Hour Walks
I have not had the will to run like I used to , but I can still walk and enjoy exercising this way. Walking has been such a positive activity for me. It helps me get my blood flowing, and it is a calming stress-reducing activity. I often pray while I walk, and I can do it anywhere. In Columbus I have a park near my crashpad I like to walk in, and Florida I walk in my neighborhood or on the treadmill. During my layovers, I use the treadmill, more often than not.
