35 Photos of Flight Attendants Through the Decades

As a person who loves fashion, especially vintage fashion, I find it intriguing to take a look at all of the changes to Stewardess / Flight Attendant uniforms over the decades.

My favorite styles are the elegant polished skirt suits from the 1950’s (like in the picture above from Life magazine in 1958) and in many ways we have returned full circle to a look similar to that, as seen below.

But how about those 1960’s and 70’s looks? I kind of like those hot pink and orange shift dresses with gogo boots! I also like the glamorous 1980’s Virgin Air skirt suits with the red shoulder-padded jackets with gold buttons. What decade look is your favorite?
