I put in an offer on Ebay last night for one of these Simplicity Begotten sewing patterns (8623), and until coming across it by chance on ebay, I was not familiar with it. I did a little research and came to find there are several patterns in this collection, which was released in the late 90’s and early 2000s. It has a romantic, Renaissance-inspired, gothic, and historical costume aesthetic.
I think these are so beautiful, and 8502 would probably be my next pick. I already have another dress in mind for the Dressmaker’s Ball, but this is sure enticing! Maybe I need to find a Renaissance fair to attend.
